Recently my computer decided to bite the dust and of course, according the Murphy’s perfect law, everything that can go wrong did. That same day, some one stole my player that had all the back up music on it. I do not remember all the music that I had on it, but it has taken me years to build up my music library. When music download software and networks first came out, my husband and I signed up for several of them – Napster and Kazaa were the two that we used the most. But then we stopped listening to a lot of music – we had a baby and then another one and our house was quiet when the kids were asleep and loud when they were awake. But, I just heard that Omemo Beta available for download and I have been wondering if it is any good. A year or so back we would never have needed a utility like AresConnect, but times have changed and – for whatever reason – the Ares network has become clogged enough to make connecting to it something of a lottery. AresConnect is a new utility on the market designed to make connecting to the Ares network easier than it has ever been.
The idea behind AresConnect is simply to bolt onto the existing Ares client, and allow that to connect more quickly and efficiently. The inner workings of the utility are nothing less than witchcraft, and to be honest I don’t think I’d understand even if I were told exactly what it did! We just download the utility, install it, and it knows what to do from there.
We tried AresConnect a number of different ways, and on a number of different Ares clients. It worked as advertised on all. In all cases – some more extreme than others – we were having problems connect before the installation but no problems afterwards. We have checked back each day of this week to ensure that it wasn’t just a fluke, and on each occasion we got a clean connection straight through to the network.
Conclusion: this is a great little tool for anyone who gets frustrated trying to connect to the Ares network. We predict that this will save a lot of broken keyboards!
